World Pride at the Imperial

overview

Mardi Gras + World Pride

The iconic Imperial Erskineville (featured in the cult classic
Australian Film, Priscilla Queen of the Desert
), became an epicenter of celebration and inclusivity as it hosted a series of vibrant events during Sydney World Pride Mardi Gras

Within this campaign, my role encompassed curating the moodboard for both the photoshoot and art direction for video content. We explored the concept of spotlights signaling the theme of "amplifying voices," a central theme of Sydney World Pride. The campaign itself was composed of three segments, commencing with a frantic 'The Queens are Coming' teaser done in a UGC style, followed by two supplementary hype reels. Additionally, we incorporated square backdrops with vivid neon hues as a tribute to the Sydney World Pride Hero campaign video.  Thanks to the talented Sure Studios team, we were able to bring this story to life.

With its rich history of supporting the LGBTQ+ community, the Impy served as a perfect backdrop for the festivities, spotlighting dazzling talent, creativity and the enduring spirit of acceptance that defines Sydney's Mardi Gras.
